Welcome to The Marsden Volleyball club Website.
We are a relatively small friendly local club that has been operation for 7 years now and we operate solely by the time and effort of volunteers.
We run social and competitive competitions in the Greymouth Civic Centre and cater for ages 12 and up (yes we have over 60s playing).
The social grade consists of around 12 teams and varies from year to year but is for those who enjoy the social aspect of the sport, the great thing about this grade is that volleyball is such an easy sport to learn there is no need to have any experience.
The competitive grade is for our serious players and consists of about 8 teams, most players are those who started out in the social grade and want to get involved in the more physical sides of the sport.
We play on Monday (social grade) and Tuesday (competitive grade) nights and another advantage of volleyball is that it is an indoor sport and not affected by weather disruptions (apart from the occasional tornado we have had come through).
This site has the current Draw, results from the season so far, special rules for our competition, events and tournament info and a contacts area for new teams and prospective players looking for teams to join.
